  Ever since seeing years ago a nearly $1000 Sony made camera similar in design to this one I have wanted a camera like this. I used to do freelance photography at college and have been a fan of Nikon cameras since the original FM. This Nikon camera has a tremendous zoom range and sells for around $200.   I wanted to buy a Nikon because my previous Coolpix was so good, but I have been very disappointed with the photos I have taken with this camera. Mostly, it is poor lighting...either the images are too hot if I use the flash, or too red if I use one of the low-light settings or the automatic settings. I have few good pictures to show for this camera. Also, it goes into power-save mode way too quickly and then by the time it wakes up, you've missed your shot. More than once I have hit the power button instead of the shutter. It's always something. I'm planning to be much more careful about my next camera, which I plan to purchase soon, because this one just is not the right one for me.

I bought the camera when it first came out to replace the Fuji Z5 that my roommate lost. Overall I am impressed with the ease and quality of this camera. The price has dropped and at the recent price points it has got to be the best camera out there for the money. There are so many features I have not even used (I don't shoot a lot of videos), but the camera features excel, and if you have owned a Fuji in the past, it takes just a few seconds to get used to the buttons.



I used the auction feature, and if you have to put something on craigslist or ebay it is an amazing feature.



I put my photos on a slide show on my 32 inch HDTV and all I say is wow!!! Buy the camera, enjoy the quality construction, ease of use and overall amazing photos!!!

The camera is sleek and has a fast start up, but, the photo lens face plate slips up too easily turning on the camera in your pocket (this can be obverted once you are aware of the possibility). Likewise the battery compartment lock comes undone easily in your pocket which mean the little fragile door could be destroyed, and the photo review button (play) is easily depressed while in your pocket and turns the camera on inadvertently killing the battery and causing you to miss "that shot".



I've noticed that although I'm in auto focus mode, a lot of my photos are blurry. I do point at my subject of the photo and half depress the shot button for the camera to focus and wait for the camera to stop "buzzing and bleeping" before I take the shot, so I don't know what the deal is here. Yes, the lens is clean...derrr!



If you are a camera wiz and know why my problems are so problematic, then you can surely look beyond these minor problems and enjoy a sleek glossy black camera that may take awesome pictures and have amazing battery life.

This is not our first Fujifilm camera. This is our fourth and we have had two pink Z5's, one of which we still use. This is a newer, more modernized model. First of all, its very hard to see the buttons. My Mom has this one and said she cannot see the light white writing on the black buttons. There is also (as far as I can tell) no way to get back to the photo taking mecanism without turning off the camera. I have not found it yet and hope I can after some research. Its really annoying to have to turn the camera off all the time. Another feature that I cannot stand is that the movie button is so small and closely situated next to the photo taking button. We are always accidentally pushing that small button and realize we didn't get a photo taken because it was on movie the whole time.



In conclusion, the Fujifilm Z5 which only has 6.x MP is far more superb to this one. Considering that the z5 is from 2008 it takes better pictures, has practical placed buttons, and is user friendly. Sadly, the z70 isn't user friendly.

I returned this camera after a week of extremely disappointing photos.

I wanted to upgrade from my 6 megapixel Kodak easyshare one camera.

Somehow my 6 mp camera takes much sharper pics than this supposed 12mp camera.

I have tried numerous settings and had it set on the highest resolution.

Pictures were frequently blurry.

Also the video record button is next to the shutter release and easy to trigger accidentally.

Also the camera does not come with a memory card and the internal memory would only store 3 photos.

I do NOT recommend this camera.

The camera was awesome when it worked for a little over 24 hours. After the first cartridge the camera broke and pictures no longer came out of the camera. The pictures came out good. The camera is a little big and clunky, don't know if they need all that plastic to house the electronic materials. The company was great, I sent the camera back and they refunded me the difference with no problem!

If you're looking for an instant camera, this is definitely the one to get. The price is definitely reasonable since it comes with batteries, close-up lens, strap, and 100 wide-format exposures. The body of the camera is strong and not too fragile, but of course with any other camera, you have to be careful with how you handle it. So far, it has not given me any technical problems. The photos are bright and sharp, much like a digital but with a vintage touch. :) The photos taken outside are amazing. The only thing I don't like is that you cannot turn the flash off. It doesn't really seem to wash out photos, but when trying to photograph against a reflective surface, you want to be careful about the positioning of the camera so the flash doesn't reflect off the mirror/glass.



Other than that, it's practically perfect. It's really easy to put the film in and then you're ready to shoot. The size of the camera is probably bigger than you'd expect but it doesn't really matter that much, since it isn't too heavy and not too tiring to carry around. It's close to 6" long and 5" tall.



I have to say it's definitely a worthwhile purchase. I absolutely love it and cannot put it down, and I'm waiting to try it out on my trip to Hawaii! :) So seriously, if you're in the market for an instant camera, get this one! I recommend it 100%.

I bought my Instax Mini 25 from Amazon, and i love it! it is the cutest little camera i owe. the size is nice, i am able to put it in my purse to carry around. It's just a lot of fun to use and to take pictures with, as you watch the develop. The photo quality is pretty good for an instant camera, nice colors and sharp images when you get the focus right. For me, there is more thrill in instant photography than digital. the other review covered all the specs. i would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a fun little japanese camera!!

Initially I had purchased the instax mini 7s from amazon and I really liked it, but the size and weight of the camera had always bothered me. Because this camera, the instax 25, uses 2 cr2 batteries instead of 4 AA batteries like the instax 7s its much smaller and lighter. I'm able to fit this camera in the instax bags you find on ebay with 2 extra packs of film whereas with the 7s i could only fit the camera due to its size.



Also when the 25 is used outside, the flash does not fire which is a definite plus when you dont want washed out photos. This camera also comes with a closeup lens which enables you to take close pictures without having to get too close. This camera also comes with an extra shutter button on the side of the camera in case you want to take pictures horizontally instead of vertically. The camera also comes with a feature that lets you either take lighter or darker photos. You can also control the flash somewhat by choosing whether you want the flash to be strong and highlight the background of the photo or you can switch it to landscape mode where i think it doesnt flash at all(not exactly sure because ive only used this option outside in bright light and the flash doesnt go off).



In order to really enjoy and appreciate these instant cameras you have to take a step back and appreciate them for what they are. Of course you can take a thousand pictures with a digital camera and print out 4x6 photos for 5 cents each, whereas each picture you take with the instax minis cost around 75 cents each, but its the appeal of having a photo seconds after you take it, and with these cameras each picture you take is one of a kind.
